FAQ

Why some cakes pay for delivery in london and others are free of charge?

Our fondant cakes are suitable to be send via courier and our buttercream cakes are only suitable for hand delivery by our own driver and the cost is much higher.

What is the difference between dessert portions and finger portions:

Dessert portions are: 2” x 1” x 5”, it’s like a standard cake slice which is perfect if you are not serving desserts.

Finger portions are: 1” x 1” x 5”, it’s half of the dessert portion and what is traditionally used in weddings and special occasions, specially if you are serving a lot of other foods.

Why are vegan cakes have an extra £5 charge?

As we make it in smaller quantities we need to stop our line of production for this specific cakes which means that we can’t offer the same price as our costs are higher.

What if I want a bigger cake than 3 tiers?

We only sale cakes up to 3 tiers, if you wish to have more cake than 3 tiers we can only sell individual extra cakes so that you can feed more amount of people.

What is the aproximate height of L'orchidee cakes?

Regardless of the diameter of the cake our layer and fantasy cakes are 3.5 inches (8.9cm) to 4 inches (10.15) tall per tier, our fondant cakes are around 4 inches (10.15 cm) to 4.5 inches (11.43) tall however all our cakes are handmade so we can't not guarantee which one you would get specifically.
